The Ice Cream Truck fork is made from 4130 CroMoly steel and is designed for Surly's Ice Cream Truck frame. It's ready for trail use and features butted and tapered blades with thru-axle dropouts spaced at 150mm. It has barrel bosses at the dropouts and crown, mid-blade thru-blade eyelets and triple bottle bosses on both fork legs. This beaut here was designed alongside our Midnight Special Frame. In an effort to shed a few grams (it's for a road bike after all), we opted to utilize a unicrown design rather than a lugged one. In addition to the weight savings, it also looks really nice—don't you think? Now, we don't throw the phrase "future-proof" around lightly, so we won't use it here either. What we will say is that, like the Midnight Special Frame, this fork is equipped with modern road standards like flat mount disc brakes and a 100mm x 12mm thru-axle. Once long ago, wool was the material of choice for cycling clothes and other active clothing. In the 80s, synthetics began to replace wool because they were new and shiny and stretchy and you could sublimate flashy, detailed graphics onto them which was a nifty thing for teams and shops. Even while synthetics enjoyed their era of dude-holding-the-bong popularity, however, wool did not die off. It still offered some really great features, like great moisture control and a resistance to putrescent reek. Our jerseys are an excellent example of wool done well. We've tried hard to produce something we hope will become your favorite piece of cycling clothing. Our long sleeve jerseys are made from medium-weight Merino wool. Merino fibers are soft and non-irritating even on sensitive skin. The fabric weight makes them suitable for cool weather to cold weather. They have a high collar to help keep the cold out and the warm in, and feature long body and long sleeves. The sleeves have reinforced thumb holes to help make sure they stay all the way down as you ride. Like our short sleeve jerseys they feature a full length zipper and a reinforced rear pocket with zippered access on both sides.
