COVID-19 Actions and Preparations

Dear Hub Customers,
  
Due to public health concerns with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have modified some of our operations, and are now offering some services by appointment only at our 3016 Minnehaha Ave location daily from 12 noon until 6 pm

We cannot take walk-ins at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause. While the state and federal governments have recognized that bike shops are essential to our transportation infrastructure and may stay open, we're grateful and remain cautious. The safety of our staff and community is a priority for us, and we understand that some people are reliant on their bicycles during this crisis. We urge you:  utilize our services only when it's essential. If you exhibit any signs of sickness please stay at home. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not respect our safety guidelines.
  

Sales

- If you need to make a purchase, please check our online store first. If you cannot find what you need, give us a call at our Minnehaha shop.
- Our staff will be around to answer phones beginning at 10am on weekdays, with appointments scheduled 12 noon until 6 pm daily.
- Test ride appointments may be made--please call us at 612-729-0437 (leave a voicemail if necessary) to discuss bicycle options, and we will set you up with a time to come in and try bikes. During this call we will learn the rider's interests & preferred riding style, as well as their height.
- Test ride appointments will be limited to up to three (3) bikes in a 60-minute session with our sales staff.
- While we've modified the shopping experience, our scheduled appointments are designed to be catered individually to YOU by our sales staff, with all bikes, parts, tools, accessories, and more available to be checked out at this time.
 

During All Appointments

- In order to keep the shop and merchandise safe for our staff and customers, please refrain from touching product or leaving the areas designated for customers.
- Please stay at least six feet away from people, including while standing in line outside.
- Each customer can bring a +1 into the store if needed. We ask that minors be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Cash is discouraged, but accepted. We have payment terminals that allow for minimal physical interaction, including ApplePay and other touchless options.
  

Service

- We are slowly rolling in scheduled repairs by appointment only. If you need your bicycle fixed, please schedule a drop-off appointment online.
- Please be patient with our staff, as we are dealing with a high volume in our repair queue. Turn-around times are typical for a busy springtime.

- Appointments that were scheduled before the closure will be called and rescheduled in the order they were received.
- If you need to pick up special orders or completed service work, please call during normal shop hours to make arrangements.
- Our service staff is working to complete scheduled repairs within the promised timeline. As usual, we will contact you when your repair is complete and arrange for pick-up.

Online Store

Our web store remains open 24/7:  SHOP NOW
Curbside pick-up available daily 12noon - 6pm from our 3016 Minnehaha Ave shop
Due to high customer volume and reduced staffing, please allow 24-36 hours for processing of in-stock parts/accessories/clothing orders. We will contact you via email or phone when your order is ready for pick-up.
Bicycles can now be purchased through our online store!
* Each bike sale qualifies for our Customer Care Package benefits, including a free 90-Day Tune, and 15% off all accessories purchased in the same transaction (use code: NEWBIKEDISCOUNT)! Accessory discount can only be applied with the sale of a bicycle. 
* Some in-stock bikes may not be purchasable online due to authorized dealer agreements...call our shop at 612-729-0437 if you have questions about the product availability.
* Please allow 3-7 days from the time of purchase to pick up your bike from our shop. We will contact you when your new bike is ready to go home with you. 

Used Bikes & Parts

We are not currently accepting any trade-ins for bikes or parts right now. If you're interested in purchasing a used bike, please email our Used Department Coordinator at used@thehubbikecoop.biz.


DIY Space & Open Shop

We have made the decision to close our DIY space and cancel all Open Shop times (including Grease Rag) for the time being. Tools can be purchased through our online store and we have some resources available here on our website. 


Classes & Events

- Classes and seminars at The Hub are suspended until further notice.
- Students already registered for classes have been contacted and spots are being held for future classes.
- If you would like to be placed on the waitlist for classes, reach out to our Education Coordinator at classes@thehubbikecoop.biz.
- Depending how long this situation lasts, we are considering other teaching options such as virtual classes/lectures with Q&A, etc.
