The Hub Cycling Team is excited to host their second year of bi-weekly Wednesday open group rides! The series will start May 9th, and all rides will leave at 6:30 PM from the Hub's Minnehaha location. Check the facebook event page for an updated route each week, expect about 30 miles and a pace of 15-17mph. These rides will be no-drop, and depending on attendance rides may be split into multiple pace groups. We're looking forward to riding with you this season!
Corpse Whale Racing (The Hub Bike Co-op-sponsored femme, trans, women, non-binary, and two-spirit racing team) is back to leading its bi-weekly rides for the FTWs in our community!
These will be moderately-paced, NO DROP rides--CWR will have someone at the back to make sure that no one gets left behind. You can expect a 12-15mph pace, a 15-20 mile distance, and the best ride leaders! These rides will happen every other Tuesday, leaving from the The Hub Bike Co-op on Minnehaha Ave at 6:30p, and beginning on May 29th. Stay updated on the facebook event page for the latest news on these rides!
The Hub will again be hosting weekly Wednesday Night Femme, Trans, & Women (FTW) Mountain Bike Rides, starting Spring/Summer 2018! This ride is open to all FTWs, two-spirit, non-binary, and gender non-conforming folks.
Are you new to mountain biking? This ride is beginner friendly! Don't have a mountain bike? The Hub will be offering up its demo fleet for FREE during the hours of the ride!
The ride starts from the trailhead at 6:30pm, and expect to ride 1.5-2 hours, venue may change. We'll use this forum* to communicate venue, weather, answer questions, etc.
If you need a bike to ride, or a lift to the trailhead, please email our Demo Steward, Lisa (lisao [at] thehubbikecoop [dot] biz), in advance. We have limited Demo Bikes available and limited space for transportation, so please pre-arrange. Please get to The Hub at 3016 Minnehaha by 5pm to get set up on the Demo Bike, and we'll be leaving the shop at 6pm sharp to get to the trailhead on time (we've learned that it takes time for the paperwork, swapping pedals, setting up suspension and saddle height, loading the vehicles...).
It might get dark during the ride, so please bring a bright front light and a taillight. If you don't have these, The Hub may have some available to use for the night, and will definitely have them for sale.
